WHO WE ARE AND WHERE WE’RE HEADED
EG Silverthorn & Sons Ltd began in 1980 as a father and son partnership undertaking general partitioning and suspended ceilings in the South East region. We’re still located here today, same founding core principles, just a little bit bigger in size and ambition.
Suspended ceilings in their current form had, at the time, just been released and the company was a leading advocate in their specialist installation. The company steadily grew over the following years eventually employing fifty highly skilled tradespersons. In the early noughties, the company evolved and adopted a more involved approach, readily working with consultants and design teams to create and construct their ideas and visions.
In 2007 the company became incorporated and in 2018 opened a Midlands Hub with the ambition of targeted and sustainable expansion in the company’s core fields of expertise utilising both in house and external workforce, management staff, consultants and supply chain partners to provide bespoke solutions and engagement on more challenging and demanding projects.
We believe actions are always louder than words. So if you say you’ve done something, then you’ve got to mean it. This ethos ensures total respect to one another at all times.
In our experience, we know that the devil is in the detail. That’s why we keep in mind that the end user will be using the product long after we’ve finished our job.

GENERAL BUILDING MAINTENANCE
From a blocked or leaking pipe, damaged doorset through to a flickering luminaire bulb, our inhouse tradespersons can attend to carry out repairs and maintenance works on most types of commercial and industrial buildings. Our management team have a long history of working in this area of the industry so are able to offer their expertise in offering services ranging from reactive, servicing and planned contracts.
Offering everything from an off the shelf item to a fully designed, manufactured and installed product, we are able to provide solutions which capture the very essence of these remarkable types of materials which can be incorporated to enjoy a truly bespoke object d’art item.
SMALL WORKS & ALTERATIONS
Working collaboratively with our key customers and partners across a broader spectrum of the industry than the Interiors division, we are able to provide bespoke solutions for a more tailored and unique end product.
Ranging in value from £10k to £100k and offering a more personalised service, we like to engage with the end users from conception through to post occupation.
